Our second presentation and critique session was a success! Two of my fellow students and I visited a design firm to gather some final design feedback before we begin the construction document and graphics phase,
Based on feedback from my professor, I went back to the drawing boards after revising my last set of plans. The stacking of the space just wasn't practical and the layout was confusing. However, I'm glad I kept going because I am really happy with how my new plans worked out. While there is still work to be done, they use the space much more efficiently.

In addition to plans, I also have preliminary perspectives and facade design. The facade is covered in adaptable louvers that will move with the sun, not only providing the optimum natural light throughout the day but also creating a constantly evolving facade. Drawing from my concept, this mirrors the movement and dynamic of a kaleidoscope.

I'll leave you with a quick material palette I created to show the overall feel and aesthetic of the space. My favorite piece is the iridescent 3form resin panel in the bottom left.
